Another year is almost gone. While I am sorry to see my year as President of IPNK come to an end, I am really excited about the board that is being installed for the coming year.

We have seasoned members who are stepping up to help who have taken a back seat for a while due to family or professional obligations. We also have members who are stepping up their involvement for the first time. It’s exciting to hear their ideas and know that our association will continue to grow.

We had a wonderful wine and cheese party as part of our membership drive and it was very successful. We have already gotten three new members and they work for a company from which we have not had any participation in the past. We plan on trying to reach out to other companies or agencies as time goes on.

We also have a new corporate partner for the coming year. Travelers Insurance has agreed to be a corporate partner with us. We’d like to build on this relationship, too.

We’re part of something a little different this year. Every year we have a joint meeting of our three close local associations, IPNK, MVIW and IWOGC. Miami Valley is hosting our joint meeting this year and they have planned a joint installation of officers. This is something that has never been tried before, so I’ll let you know how it turns out. Or better yet, come join us and see for yourself!

We are planning our annual bowling fundraiser for June or August. It depends on when the committee can get the bowling alley. This is one function that our sponsors as well as our members love to attend so we look forward to having a good time!

Our next step is to review our Horizon Plan, see what we have accomplished, and set some new goals for the association.
