Member Spotlight - December 2005 Every
successful NAIW association has a member or members like NKAIW’s
Member of the Month, Linda Hanley. Linda is the type of member
that we wish could be cloned. She has been a dual member with NKAIW
for several years and is always willing to help in any area where
she is needed. Linda doesn’t like a lot of fanfare and she is a
no-nonsense, take charge type of person. She is so trusting that
she has allowed NKAIW to “borrow” her husband for many different
projects and events, even if she was not there with us. Thank you
Linda for being a part of our association and for being such a
terrific NAIW role model………
Linda has been with Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection and Insurance Company for 21 years. She started in the file department in the Cleveland office. She worked through a number of departments within HSB and transferred to Cincinnati in 1989 as an underwriter. Linda moved into the field marketing role in 1992 where she has been ever since. Linda’s work territory consists of Kentucky, Indiana and the bottom third of Ohio. She is the front line person for HSB calling on both agents and client companies. Linda joined MVIW in 1990 – soon after moving to Cincinnati at the prodding of Wilda Vanlandingham. She took on the reservations chair as soon as she wrote her dues check and has held either an office or chair every year since with the exception of one year (not sure how that happened). Linda became a dual member of NKAIW in 2000. She has helped with 3 regional conferences in her years with NAIW, attending most since she joined. She has attended a number of National Conventions along the way and too many state meetings and networking weekends to count. Linda has a 28 year old son who works for an Ohio State Senator in Columbus. She remarried in 1997. Gene and Linda have raised his twin sons who are now 21. Tim is in the Navy in Groton, CT serving on submarines. Todd is in his fourth year at NKU majoring in education. In their spare time, Gene and Linda bowl on two different leagues. Linda also crochets, gardens (when the weather is agreeable) and loves going on girl weekends with her sister Karen, her sister’s buddy (Barb) and Linda’s buddy (Barb) aka “The Hatladies”. Linda,
