Member Spotlight - March 2006

THERE IS NO “I” IN TEAM…………and what a team these two Ladies make.

Judith Botkins and Betty Clark have been members of NAIW/NKAIW since 2005 when they joined as a team. As individuals as well as a team they have contributed much to our association; from beautiful Christmas ornaments, to a fun filled bowling event and even monthly “quotes” for our NKAIW Chat Line.

Judi and Betty are both employed at Acordia of Ohio, LLC; both are married and both have children.

Judi graduated from NKU in 1985 with a BS in Business Management, she is currently Vice President - Commercial New Business Marketing.

Judi lives in Edgewood, KY with her husband Ray,
who is a commercial artist. Judi has one daughter, Abby Jump, who is attending St. John’s University in New York City and Ray has three adult children, Kim and Gabe, both artists, and Jill who is a school teacher.

Judi and Ray have two mutts living at home; Lily and Annie.

In her spare time Judi is very much into scrapbooking and rubber stamping. She loves camping and trying to do crafty things. To quote Judi…“ Trying is the functional word here”.

The one thing that is surprising about Judi is that she has never attended a Networking Week-end, a Regional Conference or a National Convention. I for one think it’s time we call in the big time gals and do some heavy recruiting………think about it; three first time events are possible for this Lady.

~~~~~~
Judi’s main goal in life is to spend it laughing and making other people laugh.
Sounds like a wonderful plan to me!!!!
Betty started in the insurance industry in 1976 and joined Acordia in May 1980 as an In House Underwriter. She went into renewal marketing and has been marketing new accounts since 1982. Betty’s current title is Vice President – Commercial New Business Marketing.
Betty has lived most of her life in Kentucky and is now living in Edgewood, KY with her husband Gary. They have three children, her eldest is working in the research department at Children’s Hospital, the middle daughter is a cancer survivor and is working full time. The youngest daughter Kelly is a sophomore in high school and ranks as #9 in a class of 350, (she has a 4.0 grade average)
Betty enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, nature, swimming, reading and lots of other things-too numerous to mention. Betty you forgot to mention what do you do in your spare time? Is this “your” excuse for never having attended a Networking Weekend, a Regional Conference or a National Convention? Boy, the big time gals may get two new first timers for the price of one.
~~~~~~~~

Someone told me that one of Betty’s goals is to keep Judi out of trouble. Isn’t that what true friends are for. Remember that old saying Betty...
“ Chances are a true friend cannot bail you out of jail because she will be sitting right next to you in the same cell saying, "Boy we sure had a fun time doing that”!!!!
