Spotlight - June 2006
Carol
Gries is one of our members who will always be there when you need
her. She is a founding member of the association,
has held every office, worked on every committee, has been our CWC
speaker when no one else would think of trying and this year she was
our Claims Professional of the Year contestant at the Regional Conference.
In May she was presented the Insurance Woman of the Year Award at the
annual Awards and Appreciation Banquet. Though she’s just as
busy as the rest of us with her family and volunteer job at St. Luke’s
hospital, she still doesn’t hesitate to offer to help when help
is needed. Congratulations to Carol on this award and her commitment
to NKAIW.
One
of the nicest compliment a person can receive are the kind words

by a friend…here are just a couple of thoughts by Carol’s

Gries was awarded the “Insurance Professional of the Year “ award
at the area meeting of Insurance Women for N. KY, Cincinnati and Miami
Valley in Sharonville on Wednesday night. Carol was one of several
nominated for the award, of which the criteria are an individual’s
dedication, industry involvement, and willingness to help. I know Carol
was surprised with the award, because I was sitting next to her, and
as they described the individual that won, we both said, “That
sounds like you (Carol)”. Congratulations to Carol for winning
this award and for representing the agency so well in this fine organization.

Carol started her career at Roeding Group Companies (then known as
E.H.Roeding)
in 1970, it was a four-person office in downtown Covington,
KY. She has been a major contributor to the remarkable growth that
the agency has experienced over the last 36 years. In trying to come
up with a word to describe her, I found that it was impossible. There
are many: loyal, dependable, hard-working, knowledgeable, professional,
friendly and (on the personal side) a great mom to her two boys. It
is my great pleasure to know her and an even greater delight to work
with her. I’m sure she is deserving of this award."

have had the pleasure of working with Carol for 19 years. Carol
is a very caring, considerate, a confidant and a friend.
When it comes to Commercial Claims she is an expert. If she does not
know the answer you can be assured, she will research the policies
to resolve the problem. She has an excellent rapport with all the claim’s
adjusters and repair providers. It’s been a pleasure and
rewarding experience working with Carol. I look forward to each new
